Comfort
Made with double-layered water-repellant fabric, the Nike Destroyer Tech Wool Jacket is designed to keep out cold, wet weather and regulate body heat, with Thermore fill for warmth without added bulk. In the sleeves, diamond quilted nylon lining provides added comfort and a plush feel. The ribbed mock-neck, cuffs and hem create a comfortable fit that holds its shape.

Origins
Back in 2006, Nike designers began a mission to re-craft iconic sports apparel in the most technical materials they could find. The ubiquitous American varsity jacket was an obvious choice for the experiment that would become Nike Sportswear. Raiding the All Conditions Gear (ACG) innovation cache, they found fabric, laminates, and bonding methods that could brave nasty weather but still look fresh.

The first Nike letterman’s jacket was for an imaginary team called the Dunk High Destroyers, and limited numbers were produced. The next version got even more technical, but the Destroyer name stuck.

Design
Michael Jordan’s first shoe was ground-breaking in more ways than one. For MJ, sporting the Air Jordan 1 during games meant violating the league’s uniform policy, costing him $5,000 each time he stepped onto the court; a small price to pay to compete in his paramount design. The original AJ1 is the iconic predecessor to the AJ1 KO. The KO in the name stands for Knockout and it’s easy to see why.
